Flex N’ Toast: Youth Wellness Series
This upcoming winter and spring, Flex N’ Toast is launching a free wellness-focused workshop series for Brooklyn teens ages 16–18, centered on building physical, mental, and social well-being. Rooted in community care and empowerment, each session blends movement (like body flow, dance, or fitness), nutritious meals, and guided conversations around emotional awareness, self-expression, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Our goal is to reach youth living in food desert neighborhoods or with limited access to wellness spaces, providing them with consistent opportunities to learn, connect, and grow in supportive environments.
Through partnerships with community organizations and mentorship from creatives and wellness leaders (including members of the Soho House Creative Futures program), we’re creating a holistic space for teens to explore self-care practices and gain confidence in their personal development.
The program is scheduled to run monthly in 2026, with sessions held in accessible community spaces across Brooklyn.
Program Focus
Mental Wellness
Physical Wellness
Social Wellness
Offering teens a safe space to slow down, reflect, and build emotional awareness. Through guided discussions and movement-based practices, participants gain tools to manage stress, express themselves, and feel supported. It’s not just about fitness — it’s about nurturing the mind and spirit in a time when youth need it most.
Serves as a foundation for confidence and long-term health. Each session includes engaging movement practices — from body flow to strength-based workouts — designed to get teens active in fun, accessible ways. We aim to show that fitness can be joyful, empowering, and an essential part of caring for the body.
Creating a space where teens can build meaningful connections and practice healthy communication. Through group activities and guided conversation, participants learn the value of community, collaboration, and showing up authentically. It’s about helping young people feel seen, supported, and confident in social spaces.
